History of the Society

Jim Powell, the society's President and Head of Engineering at the College, suggested that the society should be formed just over one year ago after several golfers at the college started playing together on a regular basis at the Doha Golf Club.

The idea was to have regular competitions, play other golf societies, clubs or associations and organise trips.

The society has previously played a team from BAE Systems made up of players from UK and Saudi Arabia.

The society has just returned from their first overseas golf trip to the Gokarna Forest Golf Resort in Kathmandu, Nepal, for the Eid holidays.

The society will be looking for sponsors for future trips and other events which will be held at the Doha Golf Club course.
